All eligible members have the constitutional right to contest elections and become part of the leadership of USWA, subject to the rules and eligibility criteria defined in the Constitution. This right promotes equal opportunity, leadership development, and active participation in organizational affairs. Members who meet the required conditions can nominate themselves and contribute to strengthening the association through democratic representation.

Independent Election Commission
The Election Commission of USWA is an independent and impartial body responsible for conducting elections in a fair, transparent, and unbiased manner. It ensures that all electoral procedures, including nominations, scrutiny, polling, and result announcements, are carried out according to the Constitution. The Commission maintains neutrality and guarantees that the entire process remains free from external pressure or influence.
📅
Election Cycle
USWA follows a regular election cycle of every two years to ensure continuity, accountability, and fresh leadership within the organization. This structured cycle allows members to evaluate performance, participate in decision-making, and elect new representatives in a timely manner. The fixed election schedule strengthens democratic values and ensures stability in the Association’s governance system.
Election Tenure & Schedule
In accordance with the USWA Constitution, General Body Elections are held every two years during the month of February. Following the completion of the electoral process, the newly elected body assumes office in March and begins its constitutional tenure. This schedule ensures a smooth transition of responsibilities, continuity in administration, and adherence to the democratic principles of the Association.
